This 180 is a great airplane. It’s been continuously and professionally flown its entire life. As a state aircraft, Georgia
gave it a distinctive UGA paint job and maintained it meticulously. SouthWings followed suit during their several years of ownership. I fly myfamily aroundin this aircraft and therefore have zero tolerance for any maintenance/ airworthiness / mechanical problems of any kind. It’s always been flown in the southeastern United states and not used on rough or backcountry airstrips. It’s been hangared for most of its life but currently is tied down on the ramp at AVL with a cabin cover on it. The right wing wasonce lightly dinged, pretty basicramp rash, but didneed repair to wingtip.The aircraft could use a cosmetic facelift: paint for sure, maybe glass and some interior. The reserve pricing takes thosevariables into account
The state of Georgia purchased this Skywagon from the factory. It served as a forest fire patrol aircraft until 1997. The conservation flight organization SouthWings www.southwings.org subsequently bought and used the Skywagon up until early 2007 when I bought the aircraft from SouthWings. I have been flying this aircraft for 10 years, first as a SouthWings staff pilot and now as the owner. Yep, I like the plane so much I bought it from the company that I work for. Now, I must educate children and can no longer afford the luxury of an aircraft.
This airplanehas beenmaintained for several years by Keith Ball at Transylvania County Airport, NC (22W)
Star Avionics of Chattanooga, TN has performed most of the radio work.
Seller has no knowledge of any hidden defects in and to the aircraft, and believes to the best of seller’s knowledge that the aircraft is in good operating condition. Said aircraft is otherwise sold in”as is” condition and where currently located.
